We are talking about the holiday
Good morning from the High School in Ion Creangă Commune!
Even though it is a holiday, the beneficiaries of our project came accompanied by their parents, to the psychopedagogical and group counseling activities.
“During the activities, the children shared with great joy the feelings they experienced during the adventures spent during the long-awaited vacation. Through the activities they have discovered many new things about themselves, their strong/weak points, thus realizing their inner resources. Carefully chosen activities provide their need for validation, create contexts that value them leading to increased self-confidence and a sense of competence. From the “elephant story” the children discovered that lack of confidence in one’s own person can be, most of the time, a cause of failure in life. On the contrary, communication intertwined with one’s own effort is the key to success on the way to increasing self-confidence. To understand this truth, I asked the children to put a rubber band on their hand and told them to gently pull it as far away from the skin as they could without breaking it. Then I told them to let it go and asked them how they felt. I explained to them that when we don’t share our experiences with our parents or a trusted person, we can accumulate negative emotions. In order not to accumulate too much, we must release ourselves through communication, otherwise the more it accumulates, the greater the pain. At the end of the activities, the children’s joy was expressed through the drawings they made on colored balloons.” our colleague, Ionela Diana Imbru, told us.
