The importance of self-esteem
Today we invite you to Bodești Secondary School. Here, the beneficiaries of the “Quality and Inclusion through Education” project were advised by psychologist Gianina Eibenschutz and were taught by remedial education teacher Ana Turcu, how to positively change the perception of one’s own person.
”For children with low self-esteem, everyday challenges are major sources of anxiety and frustration. If they give in to self-criticism such as “I’m not good” or “I’m not able to do anything right”, children can become passive, withdrawn or depressed. Faced with a new challenge, their immediate response will most likely be “I can’t”. In this context, our role is to prevent such situations and give children confidence in them.” says Mrs. Gianina Eibenschutz, psychologist.
