Self-knowledge activities
Today we invite you to an activity carried out with the beneficiaries of our project from the Secondary School in Ion Creangă Commune.
“We chose, to begin with, the “wheel of emotions”, an activity in which each beneficiary received a sheet with the wheel of emotions and circled the answer to the question of how they feel at that moment. Then, exploring the thread of their emotions, I proposed the scarf game. One by one, each one took one of the ten scarves and tied it around him while sharing some things about what he likes, what motivates him, how he spends his free time. Through this group activity we observed how children perceive their own characteristics, abilities, motivations, attitudes. Thus, we can guide them in developing their capacity for self-knowledge (but also for mutual knowledge) and discover together the internal resources at their disposal. All this will lead to the improvement of self-image, knowing that those children who have a positive self-image, who perceive themselves as capable and valuable” said our specialist Ionela Diana Imbru, psychologist.
