Impressions at the end of the project
We also arrived at the Secondary School in Bodești commune, where Mrs. Ana Turcu – remedial education teacher, worked within the Quality and Inclusion through Education project with over 40 students.
“We carried out various activities: starting with the presentation of each student in a new group, games of knowledge and self-knowledge, helpful exercises in order to carry out homework in the national assessment subjects, as well as activities to develop practical skills. The most appreciated by the children were the activities in which they learned theoretical notions through practical exercises. Thus, they understood the need to learn knowledge in order to cope in everyday life. I wish they learned to trust themselves and handle any situation, whether they ask for help from those around them or find the solution on their own.
I believe that it would be necessary to continue the activities because the children are still in training and need support. If I look back, each beneficiary had his own evolution, but I remember the case of M. A little boy who came to us and was shy, he only socialized with people he knew and only on subjects related to schoolwork. During the activities, he became active, willing to get involved in extracurricular activities, responsible, confident, even managing the WhatsApp group of those in the project in our school.
Although he is a school guidance certificate child, he scored high marks in the 2023 national assessment exam and got a place at the vocational school. These projects are welcome primarily because the student is in the center of attention! Without a close collaboration between school, family and community, no progress can be made in the child’s personal development.”
