Impressions at the end of the project (6)

The story of our project reached the psychologist Nicoleta Ciobanu, who worked with the beneficiaries from the “Vasile Alecsandri” Săbăoani Theoretical High School. Here are a few words about this experience: “I worked with 69 beneficiaries between the ages of 7 and 16, more precisely, I carried out counseling activities on various topics: from self-knowledge to school orientation. The most appreciated were the ones where we used games and videos. I honestly wanted the students to learn that education is very important, that it is the path to success. Now, towards the end of the project, I can say that the effects of our work are visible, primarily due to the fact that currently the beneficiaries of the project come to school, although the environment they come from is not exactly a favorable one. It would be very beneficial for this project to continue so that as many students as possible can participate, to be helped to relate differently, to properly manage the situations they go through, to appreciate the book, to realize that they can evolve nicely! And when I talk about evolution, I’m thinking, for example, of M., a 1st grade student, who on the first date cried for half an hour that she wanted to go home, and then not only that she came with love, but not he wanted to leave! We worked together and she got to socialize very well with the other children, including the teacher who is satisfied with her socio-emotional development. The utility of these projects? It’s certainly a big one: projects help you acquire knowledge, manage emotions, develop your social skills. They should address any student, especially those with special educational needs or those who – due to financial difficulties or broken families – are at risk of dropping out. “says psychologist Nicoleta Ciobanu.
