Happy children, dedicated specialists
With sure steps, the project “Quality and inclusion through education” is beginning to make its presence felt in the communities in which it takes place. In every school involved, both teachers and children already know that some of them receive extra help for their development. Children at risk of dropping out of school, as well as those with special educational needs, have been carefully selected to be part of the target group, and the activities they carry out already have the first result: confidence in the support received during remedial education classes and in those of psychological counseling.
At the beginning of the week, a complex team within the project, consisting of Mrs. Anamaria Radu and Mihaela Popa, head of the target group (WG), Mrs. Madalina Florea, responsible for project monitoring and Mrs. Catrinel Dana Cojocaru, responsible for communication and publicity, performed a visit to schools in Adjudeni, Tămășeni and Săbăoani.
The first stop, this time, was in another wonderful place, where our project takes place: at the Vocational School in Adjudeni. An educational unit in which the target group consists of 58 children, including 29 at risk of dropping out of school and the rest with special educational needs. They are taken care of by our specialists Mrs. Lucreția Bancu – teacher of remedial education and Daniela Diaconu- psychologist. We were greeted by cheerful and polite children, who were in full swing. Because they are part of a predominantly Catholic community and the Easter holidays are approaching, they made colorful balloon ornaments. Everyone put their imagination and skill into play, and the results pleased everyone. A new lesson, a new step forward!
The second stop was at our beneficiaries from the school in Tămășeni. Here are 25 children in the target group (WG), of which 10 are at risk of dropping out of school and 15 with special educational needs (SEN). At the time of our visit, two of them (very beautiful and smart) were in a remedial education class with Mrs. Luciana Fechită. Although she is not the student she has in class, the lady quickly became their friend, so she works together with great pleasure. This time, they showed us how fast they learn to solve math problems.
In Săbăoani, where it was the third stop, the beneficiaries were like bees: cheerful and hardworking, they colored hard. At the “Vasile Alecsandri” Theoretical High School, the target group consists of 69 children. When we arrived to visit, some of the youngest (from the primary classes) welcomed us with their activity, which they carried out together with the psychologist Nicoleta Ciobanu. We show you just a few pictures with … the cheerful bees they were coloring, to bring Spring faster!
